We just finished up a head job on our 2010. Though we did take photos, we are having some issues remembering how some of the wiring and hoses go. Does anyone know of a good reference guide to hooking up the wiring and hoses around the engine? Thanks!
Yeah Google engine bay schematics for 2010 Prius or whatever pops up piles of crap like you'd be looking . Black and white pages . Usually if you pick hoses and wire looms up in the air and let go of them with the engine in place wiring and hoses up to about 5/8 will fall wer need to be try it. Seriously ... then pages rarely need the pages. Even in a saab.
The Electrical Wiring Diagram on TIS has colored Location and Routing diagrams with all the connectors labeled. Toyota Service Information and Where To Find It | PriusChat The manuals don't have any similar diagrams for hoses that I've seen. Exploded pictures from parts websites are the most helpful there. The below is one that you used to be able to get from Toyota's parts site before they sabotaged it. Non-Toyota sites (like Amayama, maybe) might still have such pictures available. For all the hoses, you need a few more than just this one. (I copied the one above for an older post to make some hoses blue and red, which is why I still have it around.)
Which part are you having issues with? Maybe post up the pictures so it’ll be easier to help you with it.
I had some of the same issues with my EGR service. My main problem was a HV cable with a bracket that was begging for a 10mm bolt, and no apparent threaded hole and routing path. Some previous "mechanic" had done some repair and didn't get it tied down in place. I bought a lunch for a friend of mine that also has a Gen 3 to see how everything ran. I got to play catch-up and remember when (we were both coworkers and are now both retired).
