I'm considering buying a 2018 Prius Prime with 54k miles. Is there any way to make the giant sceen on the dash more usable. I'm just having a hard time thinking about looking useless screen, everytime I get into the car.

Yeah... Toyota could do better by not making everything proprietary and integrating their systems into existing standards for computer screens and their operating systems. Also, there's a known problem with these screens getting old and failing to control some of the car's features... I can't remember the details but remember the repair being too expensive for people with the problem. I know there's news stories about it that you can probably find on youtube. So if you dove down that rabbit hole of how people are handling that problem maybe you'll end up with a different screen that you can have more stuff availble on? For example my friend with a Gen3 Prius added a large android tablet screen that was connected to the OBD2 port wirelessly.
