I just purchased a 2004, and I have a variety of tasks to complete in the next two weeks in preparation for a long trip. I plan to change the oil, pull and clean the EGR, inspect the brakes and steering, and replace the Combination Meter. Does anyone know of a good source for a refurbished meter? I see several offers on Ebay, but would like to hear from someone who has made a purchase. I've had some special surprises on occasion from eBay, and I don't have time to deal with poor customer service or get scammed. Thanks!

There's no need to replace combination meter, it's just an easy swap out capacitor upgrade. There's plenty of youtube videos about how to do it....

I cannot figure out how to reply to comments on my post. I get a message saying I haven't met the criteria to post a response. Anyway, Thanks for the replies. I will do the repairs to the combination meter and go over this thing before my adventure. Do either of you have experience driving the Prius in the mountains? I'm curious how it will perform.
