Five days ago, I felt like ‘must have slept wrong.’’ By Saturday, sick to tummy feeling, sleep deprived, and could not raise right arm. Visit to urgent care and X-ray: Well a new challenge. Bob Wilson
Ive been having something like that for several weeks. I’m waiting on my prostate biopsy results in a couple days. I know what I did to hurt shoulder. Hope it isn’t prostate related. I read things too much. Tylenol helps a lot, what is annoying is it appears most at night while not moving, in the daytime not so bad. I literally can’t find a way to place my arm at 2 in the morning. Waiting for the clock to get to 5:30-6.
Yes but I've found some relief. Aspirin reduces inflammation as well as pain. Within 2-3 hours, the relief was felt. I still have to protect the arm socket from stress while the aspirin works but tomorrow should be much better. I should have enough motion and strength to latch the seat belt buckle. I may still get a buckle extension so I can latch it left handed. Bob Wilson
I had similar results although the Tylenol doesn't handle inflammation so well as aspirin. At night, I sleep so the right arm socket has little to no load or motion. My arthritis was diagnosed by an X-ray. Bob Wilson
Sorry to see this, Bob. Hope you can get a solid, workable plan to provide longterm relief. I find three to four ibuprofen tablets every six to eight hours (600-800 milligrams) will do the trick when I have various joint or muscle issues. I have my docs OK. Tried aspirin, since it is cheap and I have it around to treat the dogs, but find I get better relief from ibuprofen. Pain and suffering wise I am really in fair shape and only rarely resort to drugs, but docs caution that may change thanks to joint and tissue damage. Ah well. Gotta play the hand we are dealt. Best pain-free wishes to all kris

After a number of serious motorbike accidents and a very serious car accident, I even have arthritis in my neck joints. I find panadol osteo-ease and Norflex give me enough relief to sleep when it gets too bad. The occasional Oxycodone when it gets extreme. The arthritis in my 3 back injury areas, hips and knees, can make life rather unpleasant in the cold. Be very careful taking Ibuprofen too often, I seriously and permanently damaged my stomach lining resulting in an ulcerated oesophagus into the bargain and permanent GERD ...... that stuff should never have been an over the counter drug ...... A fellow at the gym we work out at has experienced success with injections for his situation (he is a golfer) Arthritis injections: Types, names, and other treatments Have also heard physical therapy has some good results. My arthritis/bursitis really comes to visit me in cool wet weather - exercise, diet- and an occasional Tylenol (one per day) on severe pain days have helped keep my situation tolerable and eliminate the need for Doctor visits for my condition at bay for now.
