Got the sodium ion ket installed yesterday for $200. Pretty straight forward operation. Car seems pretty zippy. I like that. Now what do I do with the old lithium cells? Four of them show signs of swelling. BTW, I have been learning to drive with one eye for about 8 yrs. Have to pass a driving test every year. I have my wife drive most of the time.
No I'm not kidding and because he got the install done for only $200 he obviously didn't get charged for the original 4 hour quote, because the mechanic agreed it was barely over a two hour job. In other words I helped this guy save money... And what have you done on PriusChat to help people? Why so much trolling? Why not try to be helpful instead?
Will do. My wife took it over the Grapevine from Bakersfield to Orange the same day it was installed and she said it had plenty of power. Maybe we should start a sodium-ion thread. I would like to see what others are experiencing with the same kit. My little 2008 Prius has a little over 200,000 mi.
The trials and tribulations of dealing with a one man shop. I wonder how many others have problems that we haven’t heard from and have not had the benefit of public shaming?
Directly from their website...... We are a team of scientists and engineers from Prius community No list of who "we" actually "is", but it tries to give the impression it's more than a one man shop. As for this: Transparency is one of our core values. We share our progress, challenges, and innovations openly with our audience Maybe they're trying something new, because transparency was never a concern before. Actually, based on previous posts, they were about as ANTI-transparent as possible and the second sentence of that quote is a blatant lie.
You have to actually open your eyes and look for the info that Jack has been uploading to YouTube. He has also been a member on this forum sharing his findings. He has plenty of haters and it shows here. Not sure what you think he would be hiding? V3 GT sodium model having zero issues in my prius.
