Please don't let his enthusiasm do more than enhance your skepticism. Along with Sandy Munro, I have a lot of respect for this presenter. Every point he makes matched my understanding of Engineering. There are some minor technical details we would disagree with such as automated driving. Regardless, he is showing a well designed car. A surprise to me, leasing being cheaper but this may be a transient event. Source: I am not shopping for my next EV. If when I am, I can get an acceptable quality, automated driving package, even 3d party, I would consider a Licid in the future. In March 2019, Lucid was not an option so I bought a Tesla Model 3 and paid extra for AutoPilot. Bob Wilson
Lucid has better drag CD than a tesla, but a higher price that doesn't quite pencil out comparatively.

It is the best car in the world if you can afford luxury cars, better than the comparatively priced Tesla Model S. They also need to introduce el cheapo models like what Tesla did with Model 3 and Model Y so that they can actually make money. Their ADAS isn’t up to the competition yet, and that is an area they need to work on.
Exactly... I'm not going to be impressed with a car design that's in Lucid's price range of $75K to $250K. And the worst part about that price range is there's not enough rich buyers available to keep the car makers out of the red at that price point. You have to sell a huge amount of volume to not go broke in the car making business! But a BYD EV with Sodium-Ion cells for $15K and you're talking about a vehicle that's more affordable than a brand new gas engine car and I'm going to be very , very very impressed with how advanced that technology is. It is, in fact, so advanced that European and American car makers will do everything they can to get them banned / keep them banned from their markets because their car makers will never be able to compete with an engineering accomplishment as brilliant as that.
