    The photo lost some quality I think, in uploading. I'll reupload.

    Mostly, it was for people Googling "17 inch rims 215/55/17". I expected them to look "fatter"; happily I'd say it looks fairly normal. Those are 'just' the OEM 17" rims, yeah, just a <decently wider> tire. Hard to find Google results of that.

    safer tire size for the OEM 6.5 width wheel not so much wider but higher load range and stronger sidewall the car is not 100% about saving gas but build quality

    The overall wheel plus tire weight (unsprung) should be lower going from larger wheels to ones with a smaller diameter because air, rubber, and steel cords weigh less than solid aluminum alloy.

    Lower rotating unsprung weight is easier to accelerate, so mpg should increase, especially if you do more city driving vs interstate/highway driving.
