Has anybody come up with a kit to add door stops to hold the car doors open?
I am tired of having the (mostly driver's door) slam back on my leg after I open it while exiting. Even the slightest road crown will make it a challenge to exit.

I remember that most Detroit iron cars had a number of detents on a 'stick' that slid in & out as the door opened. There are at least some cars that still have it. My wife has a VW Jetta that has these on all the doors. I have 2 kids that have/had different newer Priuses that still lack this feature.

I would like to buy a kit to perform this function.... Any leads?

I think you're not supposed to grease them? Or are you, not sure...
