Good conversations in this thread, but 4 years later still no one has actually responded with what the OP was looking for:

"It'd be great to get feedback from members who have driven 0-25k, 25k-50k, >50k."

Does anyone have any feedback on aftermarket HV batteries performance over time?

I have seen reports in this forum that the new prius batteries last 5 to 6 years. The Toyota OEM batteries last 10+ years. Some last 15 to 18 years.

So sounds like the jury is no longer out and the OEM battery is better than aftermarket options. I'd still be interested to see if anyone with the aftermarket makers (new prius battiers, electron hybrid solutions, project lithium, green bean, etc.) has any comments. I see people talking about upgrading with the cylinder modules over the prism shaped modules, but threads here seem to indicate there's no real advantage to the cylinder modules over prism.

Here's a reddit post that has some comments.

Mostly unrelated, but speaking of OEM and warranty: I just was replacing the 12V starter battery on my gen 2, decided to go with OEM over the $330 yellow optimum battery that the previous owner had put in. OEM was ~$230 and I was surprised to see it came with a 7 year warranty! That seems pretty long, most of the generic auto part shops I've used for 12V starter batteries on my other vehicles don't offer warranties over 3 years and that's buying the top tier parts.

Read the fine print. You will probably find that it is prorated in such a way that the warranty in the later years is mostly there to get you to go back and buy another OEM battery. Let's say it fails at 5 years, but after prorating they will cough up $30 towards a replacement (or some other similar small amount). However, that replacement must be an OEM battery. Their profit margin on that OEM battery is almost certainly still positive after discounting it by $30.

I'm at month number 59, as in next month will be my 5 year anniversary with a pack that was the final batch of Nexcell LiFePo4 prototypes for winter testing and still am amazed at how much better my car has run in the past 5 years compared to previous 8 years that I owned the car.
