All, I moved both the 12 volt and usb-C ports under the cup holders. There will be a post with photos, an update to upgrading the Qi charger. The job is nearly done but need some type of caps for the open ports. (12volt still has the plastic shell with cap which could work but open the cap and it is an open hole.) Anyone know of caps?
I bet you could 3D print something, it would need to be the more high temp stuff most likely so the sun doesn't melt it.
I was having fits with USB-C ports on phones collecting pocket lint and becoming unchargeable. Little silicone rubber USB-C port caps solved that problem completely. I wasn't able to find them in any local brick-n-mortar electronics shop or Best Buy or phone-repair store, which seemed like a real missed opportunity for them. Online it was not hard to find cheap assortments, I ended up with a small box holding a bunch of USB-C, USB-A, RJ45, HDMI, and even 3.5mm headphone plug caps. Not sure I've ever seen one the size of a cig lighter socket though.
