Aux does not Highlight on the radio anymore

Hey guys, I need help.

I have a 2014 Toyota Prius C Three and my aux use to work when I got it. I got it last fall and then it started to have issues later on. I would plug in the cord to my phone, and then the AUX audio option would pop up but it would be greyed out. Usually when it connects, it would highlight in blue. I bought a new auxiliary jack to replace the old one but there hasn’t been any difference. My bluetooth works perfectly fine but the Aux is a lot faster and gives me more control of my music. Any suggestions on why it’s not working?
