    Hello all,

Just wanted to get some expert opinions and advice on whether OEM is necessary for replacing the CV Axles on my 07 Prius. Car has 235,000 miles on it and I recently replaced all front suspension components due to bad clicking/popping coming from front wheel hub areas. Driver & Passenger Parts Replaced--> (Inner & Outer Tie Rods, Ball Joints, Sway Bar Links, Struts & Coils, and CV Axles). CV Axles were done first on 04/28/25, with the Coils and Struts being done last on 07/11/25. Also Passenger Wheel Bearing was replaced in June 2025. Wheel alignment was done on 07/16/25. I have now developed the same Clicking/Popping from the hub areas when breaking and acceleration (Usually more pronounced on turns). If I decelerate and accelerate very slowly I can sometimes avoid any clicking or popping sounds. As far as I can tell, it seems to be more on the passenger side. In park (Car Off), when I have someone rock the car back and forth hard enough with my hand on rubber boot of the outer CV Joint behind the wheel on the passenger side I can feel the clicking popping noise and vibration from within that outer joint. Don't want to break the bank on the car because of high mileage, but am planning on keeping it going for at least 5 more years. Would OEM axles remedy this? am planning on getting some low mileage OEM axles from ebay.

Also, bottom motor mount was recently replaced and sway bar is firm with no play and its bushings are in great shape.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts, suggestions, and advice.

....I forgot to include that both of the front Control Arms were also replaced in mid August 2025.

I wouldn't think CV jointed would be this problematic . but sure originals are just that I've got some with 535K no noise at all boots all original n all. Get em off Southern car if possible . Most of my clunking I think is coming from lower control arms which I have not messed with but looks like bushes are shot
