Problem dash is completely dead and Ignition switch no lights

    Seen this before. You have to take out every single fuse in the cabin fuse box and and the black fuse box under the hood and check them all one by one with an ohmmeter to see if filament intact. Pray you find a bad fuse.

    i think it was a fuse, or the inverter pump

    My Prius suddenly became unresponsive to the wireless key fob. At the same time the dome lights, clock, and audio system also went dead. Curiously my combo meter still worked. No fuses blown anywhere.

    After many hours of troubleshooting I discovered an open circuit in the red wire from junction connector J6 (passenger side) to pin 13 of of connector 1A, which is located on the big white junction block to the left side of the steering wheel. This red wire is in the "DOME" circuit. I was able to make a temporary repair by connecting a jumper wire between pins 13 and 30 of connector 1A.

    I still need to identify what caused this open circuit. My car has no visible signs of mice chewing on the wiring harness. I didn't see any corrosion or other damage on the connectors under the dash. So it's still a bit of a mystery to me.
