Translation for those who have never taken the rear seat apart before.

On each side of the rear seat insert a socket on a long extension between the upper and lower cushions, about 6" in towards the center of the car (if memory serves) from the cushion edge, and then remove the 10 mm bolt which holds the lower part of the seat to the car. Push down firmly on the back part of the lower seat cushion and shine a flashlight into the gap to locate the bolts first. Once both bolts are out pull the lower seat cushion out from its front edge.

When reinstalling, place the seat belt parts on top of the lower cushion before reinserting the bolts.

Update: I parked the car uphill for 3 days. Today I drove it to the garage and there was no screaming noise. They lifted the back seat off and pulled out the seat belt buckle. As of this minute, the screaming noise has not come back.
