You have to wonder what sort of pathologies would compel a person to endorse such a flawed individual.

The same could be asked about endorsing Hillary, Biden and Harris...but would it really matter?

No honest accounting of facts could ever reach such a conclusion.

So no more Hyundai and probably no more Kia either I would guess.

Is it just me or does the future seem to be full of F-150s and only F-150s?

Ignoring 4% of the world's population to concentrate on 96% that won't raid their plants and tax anything imported from Hyundai?
    • 4% - raids our plants and work sites; treats our South Korean workers and managers as criminals, and; charges 3-5 times as much for anything we bring in.
    • 96% - leaves our plants and workers free to build product and 1/3 to 1/5th the price to import parts
Why put up with the USA harassment when the rest of the world wants Hyundai investment and skilled workers?

There is another hypothesis that North Korea told the sociopath in Chief to 'go after South Korea.' In effect, this is just part of a North Korean plan to weaken and invade South Korea.

Seems like a reasonable response to a tariff war.

And an anti-immigrant policy. Chase off foreign investment and brains so we'll see what happens as we stew in our own juices.

Mom and Dad recruited doctors for Coffeyville Kansas and found them in Pakistan. If these doctors leave, the town will be continue its decline into obscurity and poverty.

There's no question that trade retaliation hurts both parties, but the consequences of not standing up to a bully are worse. As a Canadian, this is obvious.

    Agreed!

Retaliatory tariffs should be avoided and embargo (blocking exports) be used instead:
    • Importing country should take full advantage of "cheap" imports from the tariff increasing country.
      • Let domestic companies "buy cheap."
    • Embargo starves the tariff beast of income.
      • Taunt the tariff idiots at every opportunity.
Look for and encourage trade with the other 96% of the world. In fact, collaborate with the rest of the world for "free trade" pacts. Let the free market spank the tariff idiots.

The article cites this as the true source: CEO Investor Day | IR Resources | IR - Hyundai Worldwide

This is all I've been able to find and it is not "80%":
    upload_2025-9-19_8-23-5.png

Can you find the quote source for "80%" in the Hyundai source material?

BTW, the "Investor Day" charts are very positive and promise great things. I remain interested in the Ioniq6 only because the charts show a nearly unbelievable advance in driver assistance software. Regardless, something I'll stop by the Hyundai dealer to investigate.

I have no spare capital to invest so I won't be diving into the rest of the "investor" stack. But if you can find the 80%, let us know. I'll might have missed something.

Ok, now I see where the "80%" might have been misquoted from:

By 2030, over 80% of U.S.-sold vehicles will be domestically produced, with supply chain content rising from 60% to 80%.

Given this is a pitch to get investor money, I take it with more than a 'grain of salt.' But don't let me stop anyone from buying Hyundai stock. I'm more interested in their automated driver assistance software as a potential alternative to Tesla's Full Self Driving.

I'm hearing: "They are coming to kiss my ***." As Trump said.

I just saw the US ambassador to Canada blaming Canadians for the negative fallout from the tariffs. Nothing like blaming the victim for what you caused. But then again, that's his job.
