I can reset both batteries and the car runs fine for 10 miles or so. Then all dash lights come on, including the triangle, AC stops blowing cold air, and the fan motor located by the passenger rear seat comes on. I had the car 10 years and never heard that rear fan come on. Please help, Thanks.
You realise that when you "reset the batteries", it only gives the car amnesia until the fault reoccurs, right? It does not fix any fault the car has. You need to read the codes (or have the codes read) that correspond to each indicator light and report them here to get advice that will help you.
Thanks so much for the replies. I replaced the inverter pump about 8 months ago and has run fine until recently. Also, I've had AutoZone check for codes with all lights on, and no lights on. Printout showing no codes either way. Based on their recommendation I've purchased a Toyota Techstream scanner but can't make heads or tails from it being "old, and not tech savvy"
get an autel maxi 200 scanner. ref=sr_1_1_sspa was the inverter pump oem? a lot of bad counterfeit chinese junk out there these days. you can check for fluid movement in the inverter resevoir. might bad a bad hybrid battery, codes will help with diagnosis
Ok thanks. The pump was not oem so hopefully that's it. Easy enough fix. Do you know anything about the fan located behind the rear passenger seat? I hear it blowing now and I've never heard that before. Thanks for any input you may have.
