    From the department of 'duh...'
Why Tesla Cybertruck sales are falling short of expectations
    1,000,000 reservations.
    50,000 sales.
The cheapest CT you can order now is north of $80,000USD - although there are LOTS and LOTS of demo models out there in the 70s.

Truck drivers are not a monolithic lot, but many of their owners will insist that a $70,000 truck 'earn its keep.'
If Tesla insists that their door-stop must do likewise, then this sub-brand may be in trouble, although the parent company is still OK according to the market and those willing to put skin in the game.....

Some guy in Texas reported that State Farm initially quoted $400 a month for insurance, fired the agent that did it and upped the quote to $800.

High insurance costs are common for BEVs.
This is one of the things that kept me in the pickup camp.
I suspect that this keeps more than a few first time BEV owners from 'doing that again.'
They're expensive....and built to stay that way from their high purchase price, specialized parts, high repair costs, and lack of a fully built-out network of certified repair technicians.
ADD TO THIS......they're generally small, fragile and quite fast, the Cybertruck being the exception that follows the rule.
    It's just fast....for a little while.
