I’ve been having a suspension creak (see video below): The video is of my drivers side front suspension while I’m pressing down on the front of the frame near the radiator, in line with the driver tire. Shaking the car side to side (from the drivers door) doesn’t make the noise. I replaced the sway bar end links as the boots were torn - this had no change. At this point, I’d like to pinpoint the noise before buying additional parts. I believe all suspension is original. 162k miles. The car drives great (and straight). Bumps aren’t too harsh. The noise most often occurs at slow speeds and dips in the road. Any thoughts or experience is appreciated.
I've cured this in other cars but never in a Prius. Given that Toyota's suspension isn't that different from anyone else's, I'd venture a guess that it's one of the soft bushings around the sway bar. Sometimes you can just lube them with a bit of spray silicone.
