Everybody notice that for 4 years in a row now there have been zero changes to the new 2026 Prius? That should tell you that they pretty much got it right in 2023 and are selling everyone they can produce. We bought an early 2023 XLE and couldn't be happier

The same thing with the Gen 4 Prius Prime. It was a good-looking car and the exterior looks didn’t change a bit throughout its 2017–2022 production model years. It did get the third rear seat in 2020 and TSS 2.0 in 2021 though. They also improved the interior looks, getting rid of some two-tone design. The Gen 5 Prius HEV/PHEV, having modern good looks on the exterior, does not need a redesign in that department.

Gen 4 Prius, on the other hand, had headlights and taillights that didn't please with their looks and saw some design changes in its course of the 2016–2022 model years. It actually looked worse after the taillights were redesigned.

Car makers often don't change things drastically for models at the end of their production run... I still stand by all the data that says Gen6 Prius won't ever happen. This is end of the line.

While we might be at the beginning of the 4th model year of the gen5, I think it's important to note that we're really only two and a half calendar years in when it comes to actual deliveries in quantity.
