    Hi all,

I have a 2010 prius with just coming up to 150k miles on the clock. For the last couple of years I've had an advisory on the MOT (I'm in the UK so this is our yearly vehicle inspection requirement) due to some corrosion on the rear coil springs. I had a closer look a few days ago and I can see that some of the coating has come off and it has started rusting at the top, as per photo:

I'm guessing I need to consider replacing these in the not too distant future, but I am struggling to find a gen 3 prius specific guide. Any tips from anyone who might have tackled this? My biggest considerations/concerns are whether there are any associated parts I am likely to need for this job, and how difficult it tends to be to undo the bolt attaching the shock to the control arm...

The other alternative is that I leave it. Difficult to tell how bad the rust is. The actual coil under the coating seems to be solid enough, at the moment.

Wen a coil breaks you probably won't even know it till . Mot again then you'll replace the pair . Should be able to purchase off the rack without any audio. Actually . I've a place here in states that custom wind anything I can dream up . About 80 bux a pop. I would think e bay or Detroit axle in USA would render plenty of . In UK don't know anyone . But guys on toyotamodslistserver can tell you in you're area who makes springs etc . Now if you want extra lift and extra height and all these sort of things then you're going to have to probably consult a mfgr.
