Oil Change: Threaded Funnel, Jacking, Oil Use

    The comment was about using the oil soaked cardboard funnel as a fire starter. In that case, it is akin to lighting a lamp wick.

    There are used motor oil heaters in some shops. I don't know the percentage today, but half of the oil going into the recycling stream was once burned.

    Yep I got one of those years ago and fits all of our Toyota's.....sometimes I have to push the plastic cowl up just a bit to get the threaded to start catching. I keep a little rolled up piece of paper towel inside of it, after wiping it clean, to prevent the old oil gathering dust and debris.

    Do a break-in oil change at around 500 miles!
