Windshield Replacement?

    Anyone buy a windshield recently? Wondering what brands to avoid. Thankfully it has been a while since I had to replace one. Managed to find a Pilkington in that case, but it was for a different car.

    So far I have quotes for a Fuyao and a PGW for about $70 more. Not planning to call Safelite, I've read they are expensive and don't reward with quality.

    Seems Fuyao might be the better product and possibly made in the U.S. at this point? Looks like PGW has been bought/sold a couple times and no longer manufactures here.

    If this is all out-of-pocket; you can usually negotiate a good cash deal discount. Most prices quoted are usually insurance company, paperwork nightmare deals; so they jack-up the rates accordingly to put up with the hassles.
