What is this part?

    Yeah, my 2010 didn't come with an air compressor, not even of any kind, and I had tried the small portable kind before and been frustrated. Hence

    with the capacity to air up tires easily, or operate small tools. (Or larger tools, with breaks to rebuild pressure.)

    To close the loop, it was indeed the part that fits over the 12V battery. Thanks everyone for the replies!
