I bought a pair of Chinese-made LED Daytime Running Lights for my 2021 Prius. Fitted them into the bumper and they look good. The issue is that I need a source of +12V under the hood to power them up when the car is in the READY state. I really don't want to run a wire through from the passenger compartment. The only appropriate power I can find is the supply to the engine computer and I don't really want to tap into that. Any suggestions?

The 2021's already has DRL's installed, controlled by the headlamp stalk - at least here in the states.
You can use a relay to the battery and tap your current DRL wire near your headlamps for a signal.

Thanks for the reply. My car has no DRLs as standard and I have not noticed a DRL wire. Any idea of location of DRL wire and/or color code please?

Sorry, don't know. These cars are on international platforms which some countries require DRL, so it's prewired and may require installing a fuse into the circuit.
I found a DRL kit on Amazon, which has a wiring harness, which indicates that there is a tap under the hood somewhere near the front bumper. You'll need to consult a UK wiring diagram for your car.
