Can I get some opinions about the glass roof option on the 2026 Prius? Is it worth the $1,000 price? Is it even worth getting due to the fact it’s a fixed system and doesn’t open? Is it more of a safety hazard in a crash…as in the glass might shatter and fall in on the driver? I don’t see the benefit of having a fixed glass roof but someone tell me why I’m wrong. I’m open for someone to change my mind…..thanks in advance.

I think the glass roof is a waste of money. We never open the shades and I think the car roof would be better insulated with out it. Didn't really have a choice when we bought our car since availability was so poor.

    Heavy and fragile.

    Then, there's the greenhouse effect.

    Also, more likely to leak.
