Hydrogen for commercial trucks is more likely than for personal cars.

Diversifying is a good idea, and Cummins is also in the stationary power business.
Their natural gas engines don't need any work for using e-methane. Same with the diesel ones and efuels, and they are working on cleaning up the emissions.
They are also working on spark engines for gasoline, ethanol, and methanol.
Plus they already offer BEV and PHEV options.

The only real advantage hydrogen fuel cell vehicles (HFCVs) have over battery electric vehicles (BEVs) is refueling time. I can understand their appeal in Tokyo, where 99.9% of families don’t have the option to charge at home. However, once charging times drop to around 15 minutes for an 80% charge which will happen soon BEVs will make far more sense for most people, even in Tokyo. Plus, it wouldn’t be difficult to install Level 2 chargers in all parking garages and lots.
