    100% Agreed!

But when you got a warranty seal on the pack, or a warranty seal on the ECU, which I've seen many times your options are far more limited.

Are you observant enough to even recognize the irony in your post? I provided MORE helpful input in my first post on this thread than you have in every post you've made all added together. Where you jumped straight to a BS "solution" without even reading his post or looking at his photo, I actually took the time to read the original post, look at the photo and provide actual accurate feedback. I actually asked the OP questions to clarify when these symptoms are being seen and under what conditions. Did you? You think I have a lack of experience? I probably have more time burping while test driving Gen 2 customer cars than you have seat time in your personal car.

You know what upsets good mechanics? Poor "mechanics" that think they know all the answers and give poor advice without actually listening to what a customer is saying, or not asking clarification questions to get as many details as possible before telling a customer what their "problem" is, causing a customer to chase their tail or get upset because another mechanic tells them something different. This thread is a perfect example of this is. You jumped right in, without even comprehending the post, photo or symptoms and made a diagnosis. Being the first thing the OP sees, he says yeah yeah yeah, that must be it. Then when the next guy actually correctly interprets the OP information, the OP is like, nah nah nah, this first guy told me this other thing was the problem. But guess what? It wasn't the second guy that failed to read the post, look at the photo, interpret the photo, provide accurate feedback and ask for clarification. If you think I'm a troll because I called out your BS, then I guess I'm a troll. I've been called worse, usually by people that don't like being called out.

And here's some more truth............there is NOTHING in that screen capture that shows indication of a failed battery. There are apparently no codes, past or present, caused by a battery problem. NO company is going to provide warranty work on an HV battery based on that screen capture. Did you notice that I explained how the OP misinterpreted the data shown? Did you notice I explained that being under a charge condition can HIDE problems and that a discharge condition would help to see problems? Probably not, you were busy working on how to get the OP to pay you 50 bucks an hour to come help him, right?

He is either a mechanic or a valet. I vote for the former based on his advice.

The portion of my post that you quoted is based off previous posts by that poster, offering his services to other members.
The funny thing from my experience is that the really good mechanics didn't offer their services, because people came to them and many of their days were spent doing side work, usually leading to them becoming burned out.

    Officially, I have lapsed...........

AFAIK the warranty states that if you could present them with DTC codes specific to the HV battery then they would honor it. Dr. Prius output is not a valid proof of an issue with the battery. If you have DTC codes related to brakes/ABS or engine they will not honor it.
