Seen Amazon delivery trucks lately with lavender headlamps during the day. This is in the past month or so.

Only Amazon and not all of them and in a variety of locations in about a 100 mile circle.

Tried Google found nothing. Used to seeing a few "sort of" blue, headlamps on various cars and trucks over the years but not this and not so extreme

Never seen them at night, but don't do much night driving.

My driving is mostly backroads, which is where I mostly see this, though I doubt it has anything to do with it, but such roads do not make it easy to stop and ask a driver.

You have seen them on other than Amazon?

They have to be illegal at night, don't they?

i haven't ever seen them on the road. google takes you to pages of people selling them, and images.
but everything online says headlights have to be white.
i have seen the bluish ones, seems like led in the wrong spectrum or something. we had that problem with christmas lights.

Cancer awareness month. off-shoot of breast cancer awareness - Pink/lavender ribbon.

It's not legal at night in most jurisdictions.

Seriously doubt it. I checked all their corporate news releases, as well as news coverage back to 2023 before I posted and nothing. They would have certainly sent out news releases and would have gotten at least a few placements considering how understaffed news organizations are nowadays.

Now, I did find one story about rare discoloration of a few LEDS to lavender but nothing about it being widespread or hitting Amazon.

Even if it did, I can't believe Amazon would not be right on top of that.

Yeah, anything they planned I am sure it would show up in some news release or story. Maybe they just got a bad truckload of parts in their service operation in this region.

Even DRLs need to be white or yellow. Must be a bad batch of LEDs losing their phosphor coating.

When was the last time you saw any enforcement action related to improper or defective equipment? ...that wasn't a pretext for racial harassment?

Wouldn't expect a company to modify the DRLs, that are likely LED and good for the life of the car, from the factory. At least not without some stated reason to boast about.

I got up close to one a few weeks ago and saw a "Rivian" logo on it.
