Catalytic converter got stolen and I let the car sit for 4 months. Replaced the catalytic converter and 12v battery. After 10 minute ride to the car wash. All the lights on the dash lit up while getting washed. Hooked up a scanner and got p0a80 p3015 and p0420. Hybrid battery, weak cell5 and catalytic converter. Cleared the codes and drove it to work and code did not pop back up until I got in the car and turned it on. had some time today and took the hybrid battery out. Located block 5. Mind you the car hasn’t been driven in 3 days. Both battery cells tested 7.89v. Was hoping one of the betteries were low…
Block 5 battery was bad. the other tested good but low. Went to junk yard and tested 20 batteries and found 2 with the same resistance readings. Installed them and it has been 2 weeks no problems. MPG is up from 337 to 42 but I suspect because I haven't been driving with the AC on.
