It's always been that way in Pro Football, especially with some specific teams... What I've noticed in college football this years is how few Tattoos there are on all the college kids in the mid-west and east coast. Whereas out here on the west coast, just about every 20 year old I see has multiple tattoos and many of them are running out of space for more tattoos... Imagine how blurry all that art is gonna look by the time these kids are 50?
i took my kids to one nfl game. we had to leave. mrs b and i were at another game, some guy pulled it out and urinated on the people in front of him. they finally instituted a no alcohol 'family friendly' section.
Could end up being just like amusement park ride where they sell you a picture of yourself going down the roller coaster!
That is exactly the current reason, at least publicly. We won't talk about what else they can do with it ...

Disclosure: I do have a first cousin that I volunteered to be a battle buddy for an IU football game, but we haven't both been to Indiana at the same time for me to go....and I'd never get congressional approval for what HIS kind of seats would cost! THAT would be the only reason for me to have a red had and shirt.

Sorry you missed the civil rights movement of the 60's....or for that matter the labour riots in the early 20th century. .....every generation thinks that they're somehow 'different and special' but an instruction manual I read taught me that there's REALLY nothing new under the sun.
I've been putting sports on TV for 25+ years now, so let's say I've been to a few meets/games/races and seen a few unbroadcastable things by this point. Alcohol restrictions work. One of the most effective situations I've seen was when Budweiser sponsored the 2010 World Cup in Johannesburg. The traditionally non-American attendees shunned that beer hard, and people enjoyed the sports instead of the buzz. It may have been unfortunate from a sponsorship standpoint, but it was one of the least-drunk World Cups in the modern era, even counting Qatar in 2022.
It's crazy how deadly alcohol is for so many... And not just booze but also sociopathic politics! Did you see the Rory Mcilroy reaction to the Ryder Cup? One source said he'd never play golf in US ever again after what all the jerks did to him and his family... That is a huge punch in the face for US golf forevermore, especially for the brain dead Trumplicans that thinks their ability to hate and harass is the most important part of their freedom... It's the beginning of the end for Pro golf in the US... Also (in case you haven't noticed) the end of the US in general because the greediest and most corrupt among us have mastered using mass media to distract people, as well as bribed the judicial leadership and threatened the legislature to effectively eliminate the separate but once equal two of three branches of government. You don't survive as a country when online trolls overwhelmingly support the end of the constitution that runs the government. And people of conscience won't go down without a fight so it's gonna get way more horrible before it gets better. And it might not ever get better... Sure am glad I live in on the west coast... It's time to learn Mandarin if you want to get by in years to come.
