so I’m driving and maybe did something to the headlight switch. Not sure. Now they won’t turn off when my car is off. Only one setting turns them on. All the way to the top. Or bottom. However it is. I don’t know what the pictures mean on the lever. But only one turns them on. And when I shut the car off the lights don’t turn off anymore. They used to. Can someone please help? I have no idea what I’m doing.
Not sure which model or year of the Prius (assuming you are a Prius (your info indicates another hybrid)) you have. From this post and the one asking about the CC it would be advisable to download the Owners Manual. There are two types of switches that control the headlights and we would need to know which model you have to answer your question. Same issue regarding the CC post. In short, we need more information to really be able to help.
In both my gen4 and gen5, the lights turn off automatically after about 30 seconds after the car is off. Or press the door lock button twice when you get out and the light should turn off with the 2nd press. Or yes, what year and model car do you have?
I thot I said. If not doh. Sorry. 2020 l eco. Got the car few months ago. No issues. Then couple days ago issues. Lights didn’t shut off when I locked the door with handle. Used to just fine. Then I guess it decided to work maybe. Use remote key to lock and light shut off. Haven’t tried since.
By locking the door with the handle do you mean the plastic lock lever on the interior of the door or the exterior door handle (using your finger)?
