Food bank crisis

'junk food' can mean a lot of things.

There is real, legitimate demand for easy-prep food which some might refer to as 'junk.'

There's a substantial slice of the population that just does not have access to a full kitchen. They can run an electric kettle or a microwave and that's about it. And plenty don't have the time to do any food prep; they're already compressed between multiple jobs, child and/or elder care and other responsibilities.

so when I donate food? I actually make it a point to include a lot of heat-and-eat stuff, even if it's kind of junky.
