I'm trying to find out the part no. for the tow hook cover for my Prius Prime 2020 metallic blue color. One of them went missing recently. I wonder if it's replaceable by itself. Does it come painted?

And we'll be traveling to Yokohama and Okinawa Japan. Do you think we can get this particular part in Japan now that Prius Prime is no longer sold in US? I know in Japan they called it Prius PHV(Plug-in Hybrid). Anybody had any experience purchasing parts directly from Japan?

    Thanks,
    Dennis

Sounds like something that would be easy to 3D print.

There is a left and right tow hook cover. Make sure to get the correct cover. Best place to find them is the Toyota Parts website through the Toyota dealer network.

Phone a local-to-you Toyota dealership parts department? They should be able to sort it out; it’s their job.

    it might come unpainted.

They only come unpainted, I ended up having to find one for my 5th gen, somehow it wasn't connected to the j hook and came loose and lost it on the highway. I ordered mine from paintedoemparts.com . you can check that out.

3rd gen tow hook covers are on like the hinges of hell. Maybe there were complaints, who knows, at any rate, it's seems like from 4th gen on they're much more prone to fall off. Maybe install with a few dabs of silicon caulk, just enough to secure it better.

Guess what? Thanks for your timely confirmation. Now that I know why all the ones I found online is unpainted. And I can assure that since we have a 2020 prius prime, it's only about slightly less than 5 years old. Every time we saw the tow hook covers dangling and put it back or both of them back in place. But after we recently had our bumper replaced at a shop, a few months went by, we found out the right cover went missing a week or so ago. So that tells me the shop did not install the hook cover carefully and hooked properly. That resulted in this incident. It is only a couple months ago. There is no way that it fell off without a reason.
