Hi - I am looking for a reliable source for spare parts

after 3 failed attempts for cabin filter (all where the wrong size) I am trying my luck here - last option would be Toyota directly.

    2017 Model
Plugin Model (if that makes any difference)
    RHD (UK vehicle)

ideally a UK spare part dealer
if you have the correct spare part number, please let me know

You have Toyota dealerships there, with parts departments?

For no-rush items where dealership is too expensive: Amayama?

my apologies of not being very clear.

I would ideally avoid a Toyota dealer near me
if there is a Toyota dealer in UK who serves the market with spare parts - that would be great.

Amayama - without knowing what it is - it was not the most cost effective option

    is
    87139-58010 the correct part number?

Ask the parts department? That's what they're there for.

I really appreciate you are trying to help, but maybe I was still not clear enough. The Dealer is (and was) no option.

so I ordered parts myself from Autodoc which fits. www.autodoc.co.uk/ridex/12768082

and here the original Part numbers and their explanation.
the highlighted one is definitely thicker than the original one
    • 87139-0E040 (charcoal filter and heaviest amount made in USA )
    • 87139-58010 (charcoal filter medium heavy but made in Japan)
    • 87139-YZZ93 (charcoal filter light, it has the least amount of charcoal but it’s also the cheapest charcoal filter available, made in USA)
    • 87139-0R030 (pollen filter standard number of pleats, made in USA)
    • 87139-YZZ83 (pollen filter, has about 1/3 less pleats than the 0R030, made in USA)

Your UK location is remote? Or you're just averse to dealerships? Googling this:

Do Toyota dealerships in UK have parts departments

    AI says:

    AI Overview

    Yes,
all official Toyota dealerships (referred to as "Toyota Centres") in the UK have parts departments. They are equipped to supply and fit genuine Toyota parts and accessories, either for their service departments or for direct sale to customers.
    Customers can:

    • Visit their local Toyota Centre's parts department to inquire about and purchase parts.
    • Order parts online from the official Toyota UK eBay store or from web-based services run by specific dealerships, such as Toyota Direct Parts.
Dealerships typically hold high levels of common parts in stock and can quickly obtain parts that are not immediately available, with various delivery options.

as the dealer is no option for several reason and none have to do with being remote or not, rather than with the received service from the 2 closest dealerships.
and with the greatest respect - I could understand you are trying to help people, but there are times you should just not push people to do things they may strictly refuse for whatever, often absolute rational reasons. Sometimes it`s more helpful to take a step back :)
I assume - AI couldn`t tell you this? and to avoid further escalation, I will close this thread

i think mendel only meant to ask a dealer parts dept employee if the part number was correct.
