Can someone please tell me why my valve train is sounding like this after head gasket replacement. It will only run for a few seconds bc I have the valve cover off so I could try and figure out what is going on. All the valve spring caps are on so it isn't that. I am lost here.
I also have techstream but not sure that will help with his because there are no codes related to ignition
I also pulled the lifters out this morning and cleaned them, made sure they were all compressing and springing back and reinstalled. No real change. And for anyone that's wondering yes you can remove the rockers and lifters without removing the timing chain and cams. It's not the easiest especially the ones closest to the gears but definitely doable. Just remove all the retainers and pry the cams up as much as you can on the free end, wedge something under them to hold them up and you can work the rockers and lifters out from under them.
