Hey, just wanted to ask if anyone had any thoughts on GreenTec's Upgraded 45Ah Prius Plug-in Battery (the standard battery is about 22Ah), which seems to provide double the range of the standard battery. It's advertised for about $4,500. Would you say it is more worth buying this w/ a Plug-In Prius or just going straight to the Prime?

Any other details and thoughts would be helpful either way.

i'd go to a prime before your head gasket blows. and prime should be 2018 or newer

^ Yep, gen3's had too many issues. IMHO - better to upgrade with ALL OEM equipment, rather than a patch-work. Great when the system is working, but a nightmare when it isn't, and everyone is pointing fingers at each other.

Wow… it looks like GreenTech copied NexPower’s webpage and possibility the product too — even the section on “how to take full advantage of the extra capacity.”

The difference is, NexPower’s cells are 55Ah and still about $1,000 cheaper. I’d definitely recommend going with the original instead of a copycat — you’ll get better value and likely save a lot on shipping too.
