My co-worker has a Chevy Bolt and she let me take her out for a spin. Pretty cool car and the pedestrian speaker sounds more like a choir in a church than a UFO!!

Tesla Model X lets you change the sound file, or have none. Your sound file can be as cool or stupid as you want. We had some sound technicians at Disney download the cartoon 60' Jetson's flying car take off & landing sound which was pretty funny. It'd probably get old though

This is my new friend, Snowbell, a 2012 Prius V, with around 260,000 miles. I decided to take some glamour shots after polishing the headlights and installing the Prius Offroad lift kit, as well as replacing the outer tie rod ends.

He still needs the front struts replaced, as the front struts are a bit noisy. I thought all the front end noise was caused by the outer tie rod ends, which were bad, but on taking the front struts out to install the lift kit, I found that the front struts were an additional cause of the noisiness.

The previous owner replaced the head gasket in 2022, and the hybrid battery in 2023, both toyota dealership serviced.

It seems that the owner put 160,000 miles on this car after replacing the hybrid battery, but as far as I can tell without a diagnostic tool, the battery is in good condition, charging and discharging between 2 bars and 6 bars.

Your area must use a bunch of salt on the streets, right?

Illinois LOVES their salt. It doesn’t help that bridges are sprayed with brine when lows even threaten to reach the 30’s (with highs in the 60s two days later).

AND… the car also spends time in Michigan, so needless to say it has a lot conspiring against it.
