New owner here of a 2026 XSE Premium PHEV so I apologize if some of my questions have been asked and answered.

First off can someone confirm the wheel specs for the 19s are 19x6.5 +40 offset and 17s are 17x6.5 +40 offset?

The 19s on the Prius as we all know with those oddball wheel specs tire options are very limited. The few AS tires offered in 195/50/19 are pretty trash although Michelin does make the X-Ice Snows in this size. I've had experience with the X-Ice Snows and they are excellent tires and well suited for my driving environment so if I mount X-ICE Snows on the 19s I'll need a second set of wheels.

For a second set of wheels I'd be looking at a slightly wider wheel in 18s or 17s so I have more tire options. If I go wider wheels and tires I am concerned about strut clearance does anyone know how much strut clearance I have over the stock spec wheels if I go wider? Again I'm not out to slam it or turn it in to a race car just looking for more tire options if possible.

I've also been researching the TPMS. Am I able to buy TPMS at the tire shop and clone them to the car? I know I did that with my wife's old.Nissan and that worked flawlessly.

    TIA

Just search tire options here on this site. I've had 215-55-17 on the original rims for a while.

My wheels are 19s so there aren't narrow tire options available on 19s.A 215/45/19 tire for example doesn't exist. I like the stock wheels but the OEM Toyo's are sub par so looks like the only way to upgrade my tires would be to invest in new wheels and mount snow tires on the OEM wheels.

    Offset?

A 17x7.5 wheel with say a +40 offset the wheel would then sit 13mm closer to the strut and poke out 13mm further than stock. Without actually trying I'm guessing something like this will fit but you'll have to size your tire carefully probably a 215 wide tire on the safe side a 225 wide tire would be wise to test out first
