I'll also suggest basing your tire pressure needs on the roads you drive on rather then what the tire maker's lawyers decide to stamp on all the tires. As in add a couple few pounds of air at a time and then on a rainy day if your tires slip a little accelerating hard away from a stoplight you know to lower tire pressure a little to improve traction. And as always, because the engine is in the front you'll want a couple pounds more in the front than in the rear. In winter for me that works out to about 45psi in front and 43psi in the rears and higher than that in the Summer.

And check tread depth. 3/16 of an inch minimum here in Colorado.

Also check tire rating. Must have either a M+S symbol or a three-peak-snowflake symbol, or both. (Unless it's an AWD or 4WD, in which case in Colorado you can legally drive around on summer tires, something that I do not agree with).

 

Similar here several weeks ago, will need another check soon as temperatures continue to drop.

 

i'm right at the lawyers recommendation. if i wasn't so lazy, i'd go put a few pounds in.
on the plus side, i'm getting a much softer ride than usual

 

AC on today, 18F on Tuesday morning. Trees dropping leaves like mad. I rake daily...well actually I blow into a pile and mulch them with a power mower and then dump a bag into bare spots in the wooded back yard.

 

that's one way to pump up your tyres!
