yes, i think they are required to give you 2 years of free credit service. they use a company named kroll:credit-monitoring it's just a huge pain in the rear.
Most of the large retail banks in the US offers this service for free, you just need to opt-in. I know Chase and Wells Fargo do and you don't have to give them any of your private information - since that's already on-file when you opened your account. I get FICO score email updates weekly - any substantial movements; somebody is looking at your data. In our internet society; I get nervous handing over unique identifiers, because you don't know who's on the other end and you can't look them in the eye. What's really scary is the breaches that aren't reported or discovered; usually smaller operations like check cashing places. Just my two cents.....
thanks. i'll check with chase cc service. i like how to sign up with credit check services, you have to give your ssn
I assume that anyone who really wants my info can get it. bank identifier is on lots of checks as is the account number, think how everyone asks for your SSN and how secure their sites probably are. The only thing I think is limited is your tax identifier as that only when to the feds and the state ... well until DOGE and now I'm sure Elon has it.
