    That's only for making calls and using the Google Assistant or Siri. I had something like that but much older on my 1985 Corolla LE. It worked well. Somewhat easier to use than the car's system because of voice assist and Google assistant.

    Ah! I see. Thank you. I'll keep it in mind if I ever start needing to make phone calls or use electronic assistants someday. I personally don't at the moment, but maybe someday.

    We liked hooking up Bluetooth for the ability of listening to Pandora Radio and audiobooks. But the aux port is working, so I shouldn't complain. Well, although, to be honest, my wife's phone doesn't have an 3.5mm port so we use a USB-C to 3.5mm DAC, but we've bought two and neither work very well. One cuts off the beginning of every breath group in the audiobook, and the other is very intermittent, seemingly working with certain apps but not others. A lot of times we just give up and just use my phone that does have a 3.5mm audio jack.
