Do you know how hard it is to find used tires + wheel combo on marketplace when they are all 5x4.5. Not to mention the only few 5x100 i manage to find are either oversized suburu that rubs my wheelwell or more than half, dont extend far enough to not scrape the brake caliper. Q_Q

All other toyota models have made the switch a decade ago. It took till gen 5 to finally decide maybe prius can benefit from a larger selection of tires. Just curious, but is it possible to swap a 5th gen wheel barring to a 3rd or 4th gen? Not that i would attempt it, but hypothetically. Asking for a friend.

Toyota has always tried to make as much as possible exclusive to their company. It's the same kind of stupidity as thinking placing massive tariffs on every country in the world is good for business. It's not, it's never been. Its best to compete at the same level as everyone else rather than exclusifying everything to death.

I didn't have any problems finding non-OEM tires and rims for my gen4. No issues replacing the rubber on my old Prius C either with non-OEM specified rubber.

And Linux became the foundation that all servers and all phones are built on because its open source and NOT proprietary. This is the difference between capitalism and socialism!

If you want to protect yourself from being easily prayed upon as a consumer you need to install a Linux-based OS on your computer like Ubuntu.

That was to force countries wo work out deals and most did. For some smaller countries with produce we cannot provide domestically, the tariffs have recently been greatly reduced. They initial tariffs served their purpose as part of "the art of the deal"/

OP specifically mentioned 5x100 lug pattern, so gen4 or prior tires and wheels.
So does this mean that I'm NOT getting my $2K tariff bonus?????? I mean that the only reason I vote him in this time was because of the 3 COVID payouts the last time he was in office. That and hoping Elon would also pay me for my vote tooo_O.:p:eek::rolleyes::ROFLMAO::LOL::whistle:

    ALL Servers?!
    ALL Phones?!

    um.....
    nope.

I'm a pretty big fan of Linux, and I used to be a droid driver until their bloatware and planned obsolescence schemes forced me to start seeing other phones.

    Correct.
Capitalism brought us to a place where we're no longer using rented, corded 'Princess Phones' and paying for long distance telephony.
They're practicing to be the family members that you have to deal with this Thanksgiving.
Tariffs are only bad when "some people" use them.

    Whaaaaa?
    A broken campaign promise?!?!

There goes his chances for a third term. :ROFLMAO:

Congress has constituitional authority to tax and spend, the president does not. And yes the president can work out trade deals with other countries but those deals have to be approved/ratified by congress.

And based on the questions of a very extremist right wing majority on the Supreme Court even they don't sound like they're interested in giving the president the legal authority to tax trillions of additional dollars out of the American people who are the ones that ultimately pay those tariffs.

Likewise the president has no legal authority to eliminate programs and agencies funded by congress, he only has the ability to manage them in service of what congress authorized. He's losing big time in the courts on all those cases too. His leadership is a failure by every measure!

For all practical purposes Unix / Linux run the world both fell off the same tree given to us by an offshoot of Ma Bells capitalist monopoly.

our totally capitalist system then decided to sue the crap out of Ma and a few dependents getting rid of corded princess phones allowing you to choose your long distance.

with inflation my basic corded phone service and $4.99/month dialup is still significantly cheaper than non-penalty box cell and internet.

my landline phone with internet was grandfathered at $24.99/month combined through 2016, with inflation still immensely cheaper than anything not extremely punitive and frustrating to use today

as to the ops complaint, I agree that we may need our totally capitalist government to force certain specific components to be once again industry standard.

we did it with 12v batteries (as hard as it is to believe), headlights (for a while), tires to a point and bumpers for a while.

considering some cars have $2000 headlight enclosures and $5000 plastic insta break front ends made from plastic bags we might need .gov to force 5 mph crash bumpers, standardized headlights and possibly some other mandatory kumbiyah standards across manufacturers.
