Mirroring iphone

    Are there any rumors floating around the blogosphere if there are plans to update the Prius software to be able to mirror the iPhone?

    Toyota doesn't accommodate options like that and if they did they'd charge you a really high monthly fee...

    Ok…..but what is the software update option for in the infotainment settings? I would think all Toyota has to do is allow mirroring. You can already get the audio from YouTube videos but not the video. It shouldn’t be any different than a TV allowing iPhone mirroring.

    I don't think it's on Toyota's radar at all.

    No, it would only work when the car is in park like a Tesla.

    On my 2024 Prius Prime I use FERMATA software to mirror my Samsung phone to Android auto and it works great.
    There is an iPhone version of the FERMATA software, but being with Android, I have never used it.
    Do a search for FERMATA with iPhone and see how to do it.

    You may find an app to do that, but it may not work.
    I just use my phone as-is.
