My SE model doesn't have trunk door lock button like this picture. So I want to upgrade it myself, I baught like this button. I tried the button change, big square button is working, but circle button(door lock button) isn't work... So I want to see the XSE or XLE trunk disassembly pictures. Is there anyone who has the picture? And I found a trunk door locking part assembly guide like this. With this pictrure, I changed only 84840G, So I think that I should have to buy and install 89222A and 89747E. Is there anyone has a picture of 89222A and 89747E?? And if I install this, is it work well directly, or I have to pair it to my remote key??
I had a screenshot of the wiring diagram for the Prius Prime. Here is a photo from a XLE Prius non Prime. Here is a screenshot of the location of parts. I am going to guess based on my limited experience that you would need to add the 3 wires from the back of the lock, a sealed female terminal for the 3 wires on the back of the lock, and 3 male pins to the 3 wires and put them into the VW1 terminal housing. Maybe someone else has a better sense. You can confirm by locating the wires coming out of VW1 at locations 12, 13 and 20.
