Hi everyone! New to the hybrid world. im quite active on the chevy forums, looking forward to Learning new things.

Looking at the manual for the 2018 Prius2 It looks like for the transmission fluid replacement procedure. It calls for you to drain, fill, drain, fill, maintenance mode, check. Is that correct?

    welcome!
i've always understood it to be a simple drain and fill, but am not familiar with gen 4. even a mention in the o/m is something i haven't heard of, since previous gens were considered to be lifetime fluid by toyota.
can you post a pic of the relevant section?

My 2017 and 2021 are just drain and fill....no need to check temps or anything.....hardest part is getting the 3 3/4th qts of Toyota WS tranny fluid in there (I loathe those stupid pumps) so I had a funnel with a long hose so fed it in through the back of the engine bay down and had my wife watch while I dumped it down and she let me know when it was overflowing.

I do this every 6-years or every 60,000 miles, whichever comes first.
