Ex pats and others in China can enjoy this event in major cites. Prices are not outside range of restaurants in US ($20 to 200). But were I to buy, I have been informed frozen bird would come from Russia. ?!? Cannot buy; reasons. Eight years ago I was somewhere in US and cooked 3 domestic turkeys for a large group. Adequate ovens availed. Cooking the birds well, abundant gravy was next need. I did my work, and others made side dishes and pies. -- Gravy needs flour, and that needs oven time and some umami. Y'all have a day to learn what that means. Internet is stuffed with descriptions of side dishes and pies. If you miss this year, there will be another. == Eat excessively! Honor what giving thanks means.

Thankful also for this resource for the 5th-gen, as is my first hybrid and wanted it to be a Toyota. And after the first year's exp with this car, may be the one after as well (as long as the mothership doesn't cost itself billions in avoidable production flubs, as it's been doing repeatedly this year). Apparently by end of decade, all Toyotas will be HEVs if not BEVs... and should be quite impressive. Enjoy! Eat well and count blessings...
My first Toyota hybrid was a 2017 Gen 4 Prius Two. Last year, after it met a 4Runner, I moved on to a 2025 Camry XLE. All Camry are hybrid HEV since 2025 model year. All 2026 RAV4 are either HEV or PHEV now too.
A cool, quiet day, caught up on one of my honey dew tasks: An earlier contractor had mounted the doors not accounting for the door way molding. So I removed the original rail; added a 1" (2.5 cm) board, and; remounted the rail. Now the doors slid open and closed easily ... much to the delight of 'she who must be obeyed.' Bob Wilson
Not quite sure what the whole Thank Giving thing is all about, I'm thankful I was born in Australia every day, no matter what life throws at me ..... still enjoying being above ground looking down rather than below ground trying to look up . I hope all had a great holiday and are gearing up for Christmas and New Yrs, with our kids now scattered around the world and living their own lives, Christmas isn't quite what it was, but still a good time to spend with friends T1 Terry
Thanksgiving is especially fun in our family. We have ancestors both English and Native American on both sides (Passamoquoddy). Some interesting facts about the first Thanksgiving holiday in 1621 was that it was a call for a 3-day fast and prayer to thank the Lord for saving them and there were more Native Americans than English there. Today, it's more about food and football but still glad we give thanks to the Lord and spend time with family. (Both in-laws and out-laws!! Gotta love them all!!)
You know, that's something I really miss about being in mil -- you get a waaay broader spectrum of race and ethnicity, including mutts of all walks, and their contributions to culture and society, both in mil and at large. If you have to live (in our case, literally feet away) from a vast variety of the human race and thus learn to get along... you tend not to be as repugnant with casual dismissals due to ignorance, upon ETS. Oh don't get it twisted -- bigots defo in the military, and lots of clashes in my time when things got hot (usually at the GI bar downtown, ime). But when cooler heads prevail, we just acknowledged reality a bit better than too-common in civvie life... where it often turns into covert / micro-aggro but codified hatred. Trivia note: have a Native American name (Sioux), given at a uwipi ceremony in MT in '93. My buddy in Germany was son of the tribal leader of the rez, and a drummer at the ceremony (did a sweat the night before, holy cow that was intense -- buddy insisted it not be a 'tourist' version, but what the bloods did themselves ).
