Guys, how’s everyone. I’m inquiring if the cylindrical Prius aftermarket are good or I look for the new oem shaped Prius cells. Of the 2 which do you recommend for a country with too much heat
None of them so far has panned out anything like the Panasonic so you're gambling basically and they all want real money no. Matter
The aftermarket cylindrical battery lasts about 4 to 5 years. A new Toyota OEM battery lasts 10+ years.
A member here started a cylindrical battery company; it’s had supply/delivery problems, not sure where it’s at now: Prius Battery Replacement (GenII) Like you've never seen - NEW Cylindrical Cells | PriusChat
I looked into these last year, keep in mind there are several brands of these floating around which like any battery vary in use/longevity. If you get one, get it from somewhere with a good warranty.
If you want new, you want the Sodium ion..... Going oem from the dealer, you can't go wrong, but it will cost you double.
