Managed to get them both under the battery cover. Nothing visible. Can receive BM-2 signal in the house from garage, just about. Any tips on BM-2 from users? Like, maybe, phone permissions? Or security? Is the app going to drain my phone battery, lol? First thing I saw was this. Hey, it's a work in progress, lol: The NOCO is for another, hopefully warmer, day.
Nice! 12.26 V is on the low side. I would use the Noco Genius at some point to fully charge the battery. However, it is probably around 67%. The BM2 SOC estimates are not necessarily accurate, as the sensor does not come with an integrating current sensor. Make sure that the car is in deep sleep, the battery is rested for half a day, and the key is not within ten feet.
I really never had a need for such products but the names are self explanatory. I do use trickle chargers on my UTV and gas generator only because I don’t use them regularly. I guess my question was more to is there a need for them on your daily driver?
I saw a periodic parasitic draw last nighty while the car was parked in the garage. It occurred every 2-3 hours. The periodic draws stopped after midnight, which is a good thing. Car was unlocked, thumb drive plugged in, ~33F in garage, fob inside house. Toyota Connected 'waived', but not physically disabled. Something seemed to run for a few minutes, which drew down the battery voltage thereafter-almost like a motor. Is there some kind of pollution pump (fuel vapors?) that could be the culprit?
Well, I thought I'd see if my fob was in range from the kitchen counter out to the garage, so I hit the Panic Button. Yes, it did set it off, so as far as isolating the fob, I guess I didn't. edit: Although, it's not near enough to do the near field stuff, like turn on the lights when the door is locked (just one example, I'm sure there are many, lol.)
