i liked them when i first saw them, but the price scared me away. i should have waited?
still, i'm very satisfied with my $23,500. new bolt (now 2 years old and 12,000 miles.)
my only gripe is the hatch depth, about 6" shorter than the gen 2 and 3 prius, but i leave the back seats down.

Carbon fiber body and aluminum chassis will make any car pricey, even before the BMW upcharge.
The used ones can be a deal. Afraid the BEVs might be too old buy the time I'm in the market though.

Well, the Bolt is a size class smaller than the Prius. Need the Equinox if you want to match it.;)

The BMW i3 still has some 'cultural' quirks that keep it from being perfect. If BMW ever "open sourced" the software, they would get fixed in a heartbeat. For example, the zoom in to the navigation map works opposite the right hand rule. Turn right to zoom in and it actually zooms out!

equinox is way bigger than the prius, but the hatch may be similar. strangely to me, gm added 6" to the euv over the ev. 3" to rear leg room, and 3" to styling, but the hatch is the same depth.
i'll be looking at alternatives for my next ev, but i don't want anything longer tha prius, and more than 35k.

If the EV rear legroom was like my Sonic's, you'd praise the 3 inches added to the EUV.

if you regularly have rear seat occupants, perhaps. seems most over at bolt.org don't have them for whatever reason. they do like the smoother ride over the ev, for those that had both.
the new bolt will be based on the euv, no more ev size. many aren't happy about that. i would like the ev, but it wasn't available near the end of the line.

Stretching the wheelbase could have other plusses over making cargo space longer. Might play a part in why the EUV has a tow rating for instance. Then those without rear passengers will likely keep the seats down for cargo anyway.

I was happy with the size and comfort of the Sonic. When purchased, we had a larger car for trips. Then I enjoy small, agile cars more.

I would have gotten a Bolt EV, and held onto the Camry, if GM had made the price cut announcement a month earlier.
