ABS, Brake and Traction lights are on. All three turn off eventually, then after several hours or even after a couple of days, they would come back on. I have not figured any pattern on when they would come on or would turn off. I am getting C1391 and C1241 codes. I am hoping it's not the actual brake accumulator module which would be expensive to replace from what I've seen. My hope is that since the lights go off for a while, it might be just a sensor or a cable that is failing. Please, any advice with any suggestions on what I could check would be greatly appreciated. I am not mechanic by any means - I have replaced the break pads before, as well as the spark plugs on this Prius 2013. And that's the extend of what I've done so far on this car. When that lights are on, breaks seem be be a little lower -- I mean the break pedal feels like I need to press a little more... the sensation on the break pedal seems to slightly change when the lights go off. Thanks All
C1391 means the car is having trouble maintaining adequate pressure in the brake fluid accumulator. C1241 indicates some problem with the 12-volt power supply reaching the brake hardware. It has five different possible "INF codes" that will reveal more about what kind of problem, if you have access to a scan tool that can show the INF codes. I would probably try to troubleshoot the C1241 first, on the chance that the problem maintaining pressure could be a consequence of the problem getting 12-volt power.
Thank you all! Brake Fluid levels are OK, and no, I don't believe the system has been bleed. I am using the FIXD OBS Bluetooth adapter and the FIXD app. I looked for INF codes and it does not show them. The C1241 Code shows as description: Low Power Supply Voltage Malfunction (Module Type: Abs) - I have checked the Battery in Idle mode (with the same FIXD app), and it shows 15V. Battery was replaced less than 2 years ago. I should say that when I replaced the Pads, I used the special "cube" tool to "reset" the caliper. I did the rear breaks first. Later I learned that the caliper should be aligned into specific way. When I changed the front brake pads a few weeks after, I went back to the rear breaks and made sure they were aligned. The issue with the lights started a little bit after that front break pads change.
